Biography

Ashton Durrand Sanders is an American actor known for his role as teenage Chiron in the Academy Award-winning film *Moonlight* (2016). His performance in the film received critical acclaim and brought him recognition as an emerging talent in the film industry. After *Moonlight*, Sanders appeared in several films, including *The Equalizer 2* (2018), *All Day and a Night* (2020), and *Judas and the Black Messiah* (2021), in which he portrayed FBI informant William O'Neal. In 2019, he played Bigger Thomas in the film adaptation of Richard Wright's *Native Son*, and in 2022, he portrayed Bobby Brown in *Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody*.
