“THE STORY OF A DESPERATE GIRL!”
Synopsis
Leonora, a young woman of limited means, marries the obsessive millionaire Ohlrig, but their marriage lacks affection. Ohlrig displays manic and violent behavior. Leonora eventually leaves her unhappy situation and begins working with New York City doctor Larry Quinada, for whom she develops romantic feelings. Ohlrig refuses to grant her a divorce, and the circumstances worsen when Leonora discovers she is pregnant with his child.
