Synopsis

Millwood City engineer Scott Daniels, who recently relocated from Houston, begins investigating a string of unexplained fires. Scott and his wife, Lourie Harper, have a son named Jesse, who resents the move and his father's work at a youth home. Jesse fakes a fever to avoid attending school and invites his new girlfriend, Carmen, to their home. Carmen is actually Allison Saunders, daughter of Scott's former high-school girlfriend, and she discovers Jesse unconscious after being overcome by fumes. The city's sewers are found to be filled with dead rats, while cracks begin appearing in several buildings and gas leaks spark explosive fires. Mayor Walker, more concerned with politics and public image, dismisses Scott's recommendation for a citywide evacuation. Later, Scott and his friend in the city administration, Kenny Barrows, uncover a connection between the incidents and steam pressure drilling conducted by Talbot's oil exploration company. However, Fire Chief Patterson, who has had a long-standing alliance with Talbot, works to conceal their activities and discredit Scott. Written by KGF Vissers.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 17

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
