Contempt

Synopsis

Jeremy Prokosch is a producer in the art film business who is dissatisfied with the work of his director. He has hired Fritz Lang to direct an adaptation of *The Odyssey*, but when it becomes clear that the legendary filmmaker is creating a film likely to fail at the box office, Prokosch brings in a screenwriter to revitalize the script. As the project progresses, the professional challenges intersect with personal issues as a rift develops between the screenwriter and his wife.
