Synopsis
Veronica is intelligent, talented, and attractive, but the nobleman she loves, Marco Venier, cannot wed her due to her lack of wealth and uncertain family background. To improve Veronica's prospects, her mother, Paola, trains her to become a courtesan, a role that provides company and companionship to the wealthiest and most influential men in Venice. Using her wit and charm, Veronica seeks to alter her fate and pursue a future that includes true love.
