Synopsis
In August 1997, the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, shocked her family and led to one of the most remarkable weeks in modern British history, marked by widespread public mourning. The intense emotional response to her death raised questions about the unique connection she had with the public and what that moment revealed about the British people's relationship with the monarchy, both at the time and in the years that followed.
