Synopsis

In the year 10,191, the most valuable substance in the universe is the spice Melange. It has the ability to extend life, expand consciousness, and is essential for space travel. The spice is found on only one planet in the entire universe: the vast desert world Arrakis, also known as Dune. The native inhabitants of the planet, the Fremen, have long held a prophecy about a man who will come—a messiah destined to lead them to true freedom.
