Biography

Freddie Jones was an English actor whose career in film, television, and theatre spanned nearly six decades. He is known for his role as Sir in the play *The Dresser*. In film, he gained recognition for his collaboration with director David Lynch, beginning with his portrayal of the ruthless ringmaster Bytes in *The Elephant Man* (1980). On television, he played the character Sandy Thomas in the ITV soap opera *Emmerdale* from 2005 to 2018.
