Synopsis
In 1929, Germany, Helmut Machemer and Erna Schwalbe fall deeply in love and marry in 1932. Their lives appear to be on a promising path, but in 1933, with Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party coming to power, their future is suddenly jeopardized due to Erna's Jewish heritage.
