An obsessive French videographer sets out to expose the world’s most secretive graffiti legends, only to have the elusive Banksy hijack his footage and thrust him into an unexpected rise as the sensational street‑art sensation “Mr. Brainwash.”

Synopsis
Banksy is a graffiti artist with an international reputation, whose works appear on walls in locations ranging from post-hurricane New Orleans to the separation barrier in the Palestinian West Bank. Maintaining strict anonymity to avoid legal consequences, Banksy has consistently avoided being filmed. *Exit Through the Gift Shop* recounts the true story of how an eccentric French shop owner and aspiring documentary filmmaker attempted to find and befriend Banksy, only to have the artist redirect the camera back onto the filmmaker.
