Fanny and Alexander
When their beloved father dies, siblings Fanny and Alexander must outwit a tyrannical bishop who has seized control of their family home, fighting to preserve their imagination and the warmth of their once‑joyful household.
Synopsis
Fanny and Alexander are children in the Ekdahl family, who live a happy life with their parents, who operate a theater company. After their father's sudden death, the siblings find themselves in a bleak household when their mother, Emilie, marries a strict bishop. The situation worsens as the bishop becomes increasingly domineering, though devoted relatives make a determined effort to support Emilie, Fanny, and Alexander.
