Gideon's Daughter
Synopsis
Bill Nighy and Miranda Richardson star in a story exploring grief and celebrity, set against the backdrop of the intense spring and summer of New Labour's election victory and the death of Princess Diana. Nighy portrays a public relations expert who is forced to pause and reassess his life when his daughter threatens to leave him, possibly as retribution for his repeated infidelities. Richardson plays a mother who attempts to cope with the loss of her young son by dealing with her grief in an unconventional manner.
