Synopsis
In this made-for-TV drama, James Bolam portrays Dr. Harold Shipman, a serial killer and general practitioner who is believed to have killed as many as 250 of his patients during his career. The film follows the investigation into the unusually high death rate at his practice, which revealed that Shipman had administered lethal doses of diamorphine to numerous patients. He was subsequently put on trial, convicted of 15 murders, and sentenced to life imprisonment.
