Biography

James Christopher Bolam is an English actor known for a range of television roles. He gained prominence for his portrayal of Terry Collier in *The Likely Lads* and its sequel *Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?*. Bolam also appeared in *When the Boat Comes In* as Jack Ford, *Only When I Laugh* as Roy Figgis, and *The Beiderbecke Trilogy* as Trevor Chaplin. He has taken on diverse characters, including the title role in *Grandpa in My Pocket* for CBeebies and the role of Harold Shipman in the ITV drama *Shipman*. Additionally, he portrayed Harold Wilson in the BBC documentary *The Plot Against Harold Wilson*.
