Synopsis
Mickey Mouse, one of the most iconic characters in animation history, was first introduced to the public in the short film *Steamboat Willie*, which premiered on November 18, 1928. Created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks, Mickey Mouse quickly became a cultural phenomenon and helped establish Disney as a major force in the entertainment industry. Over the next six decades, Mickey appeared in hundreds of theatrical short films, feature-length movies, television shows, and theme park attractions, evolving into a global symbol of entertainment and imagination. As part of his 60th birthday celebration in 1988, special events and tributes were held worldwide, highlighting his enduring legacy and influence on popular culture.
