Synopsis
Jack is discovered with the wife of his employer, a violent figure in the Vegas underworld. In response, the thug dispatches henchmen to pursue Jack, who persuades his best friend, Pilot, to escape with him. Pilot insists they travel to Seattle, though he does not explain his reasoning. The henchmen track down Pilot's drug supplier and learn of the pair's destination, then set off in pursuit, determined to cripple Jack. During their journey, Jack and Pilot pick up Cassie, a troubled young woman, with whom Jack quickly forms a connection. They also assist an elderly stoner traveling to Seattle for Kurt Cobain's memorial and offer help to a circus sideshow family. The story raises questions: why is Pilot so determined to reach Seattle, will the henchmen catch up to Jack, and can the conflicting needs of the friends be reconciled?
