Holiday Engagement
Synopsis
Hillary Burns, a woman in her thirties, has spent much of her life seeking the approval of her parents, often overshadowed by her more successfully connected siblings. When her fiancé, Jason King, a workaholic lawyer, breaks things off because she refuses to move with him for a potential promotion, Hillary panics—especially since she had promised to introduce him to her family for Thanksgiving, a gathering she does not want to disappoint. On a last-minute suggestion from her best friend Sophie, Hillary decides to hire someone to pretend to be Jason during her return home. The plan leads to a series of unexpected interactions and revelations among everyone involved.
