Kill or Cure
Synopsis
In the film, Laurel plays a commercial traveler promoting a patent medicine called Professor I.O. Dine's Knox-All; the name is considered one of the film's funniest jokes, though the movie itself is not particularly notable for humor. It was made in 1923, during the height of Prohibition in the United States. At the time, many Americans turned to patent medicines that claimed to have "medicinal" properties, often as a way to obtain products containing alcohol.
