Synopsis
The full 2-hour performance of Liza Minelli's 2009 concert is available only as part of this special collector's edition. The concert, recorded at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on October 1, 2009, features a midnight performance. Act One includes favorite songs by Minnelli, with a new personal musical introduction added to a fond remembrance of famous vaudevillians. Act Two serves as a tribute to Minnelli's godmother, Kay Thompson, a pioneering singer-dancer, songwriter, and vocal arranger and coach at MGM Studios in the 1940s. This documentary captures Minnelli's award-winning 2009 Broadway concert, which featured renditions of favorites from throughout her career. The setlist includes "Cabaret," "Liza," and "New York, New York."
