Synopsis
Eleven-year-old students at a New York City public school embark on a journey into the world of ballroom dancing, uncovering aspects of themselves and their lives in the process. Presented through their honest and often humorous viewpoints, the children undergo a transformation—from hesitant beginners to committed competitors, and from ordinary city kids to poised "ladies and gentlemen"—as they prepare to take part in a citywide competition.
