Synopsis
The script for *Back to the Future* was among the most frequently rejected in Hollywood, with over forty rejections before it found support. No producer initially believed in the project by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale. Steven Spielberg secured the film’s production at Universal Studios, with Gale writing the screenplay and Zemeckis directing. The director of *Jaws* would later have no regrets. Released in 1985, *Back to the Future* broke box office records and became a global success, bolstered by two sequels in 1989 and 1990. Decade after decade, the popularity of the trilogy has remained strong. Why has this trilogy endured while so many other blockbusters have faded into obscurity?
