Monsieur Verdoux
Banker Henri Verdoux turns marriage into a murderous scheme to fund his family, but when two cunning widows refuse to play along, his deadly ruse threatens to implode and expose him.

Synopsis
The film follows Henri Verdoux, an unemployed banker who resorts to sociopathic means to earn a living. Despite being loyal and competent in his profession, Verdoux has been laid off. In an effort to provide for his wife and child, he begins marrying wealthy widows and subsequently killing them. His pattern of crime is disrupted when two specific widows defy his usual routine, ultimately leading to his downfall.
