Mrs. 'Arris Goes to Paris
Synopsis
Ada Harris, a London charwoman in the 1950s, sees a Dior dress and decides she wants to own one. Initially, she carefully saves her money, and when she finally has enough, she travels to Paris. However, she soon discovers that purchasing an original couture piece is more complicated than simply paying the price. In her pursuit of the dress, she befriends a count, helps unite a pair of young lovers, and evades customs officials.
