My Dead Friend Zoe
“Grief can be a funny thing.”
Synopsis
Merit, a U.S. Army veteran who experiences PTSD, is repeatedly haunted by visions of her deceased friend and former company teammate Zoe. Following her service in Afghanistan in 2016, she participates in group therapy until her grandfather Dale, a former Lieutenant Colonel, receives a recent diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. Merit assumes the role of his aide, learns additional information about herself and her family, and gains the resolve to confront her metaphorical demons.
