A devout Catholic man spends a fateful Christmas Eve with a Marxist friend and a free-spirited divorcée, navigating a night of passionate debates, emotional tension, and unexpected moral dilemmas.
Synopsis
In Clermont‑Ferrand around Christmas, the Catholic Jean‑Louis encounters his former friend Vidal, who identifies as a Marxist. Vidal introduces him to Maud, a recently divorced woman described as modestly libertine. The three discuss topics that include religion, atheism, love, morality and the work of Blaise Pascal.
