An elderly Japanese woman, haunted by the trauma of the Nagasaki atomic bombing, confronts her past and the possibility of forgiveness as she spends a summer with her curious grandchildren and an unexpected American relative.

Synopsis
An elderly hibakusha from Nagasaki spends the summer looking after her four grandchildren, whose questions about the 1945 atomic bombing awaken repressed memories and ethical dilemmas. When her nephew from Hawaii visits, the family is forced to confront grief, guilt, and the potential for healing across generations.
