Synopsis
In 1969, while studying at the University of Maine, artist Alan Parker became obsessed with death. Believing he was losing his girlfriend, he attempted suicide on his birthday, but his friends intervened and stopped him. Shortly after, he received news that his mother had suffered a stroke and decided to hitchhike to visit her at the hospital.
