Synopsis
Set in the year 2028, *RoboCop* centers on the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp, a leading force in robot technology. While their drones have long been used by the military overseas, they are prohibited for law enforcement use in the United States. OmniCorp aims to change this by introducing their controversial technology domestically. When Detroit police officer Alex Murphy—a devoted husband, father, and committed officer working to combat crime and corruption in his city—is critically injured, OmniCorp sees an opportunity to create a hybrid police unit: a part-man, part-robot officer. The company envisions deploying RoboCops nationwide, generating substantial profits for its shareholders. However, they fail to anticipate a key factor: the presence of Murphy’s consciousness within the machine.
