Roe vs. Wade
Synopsis
Holly Hunter portrays a lonely, single, poorly educated woman from Texas who becomes pregnant and faces the challenge of supporting a child without the necessary means. To avoid giving up the child for adoption, she seeks an abortion. Unable to obtain one in Texas, she hires an inexperienced lawyer to argue her case before the U.S. Supreme Court. Ultimately, the law is changed, but for the character, the process takes longer than nine months.
