Running Mates

Hugh Hathaway was captain of the high school football team when Aggie Snow first developed a crush on him. Now, he is a successful senator running for president, while she is an award-winning children's author. Although they may disagree on certain political issues, they share a growing romantic connection. Aggie is uncertain about becoming a first lady, let alone the nation's, but she is eventually won over by the senator and introduced to the public as his fiancée. However, Hugh's presidential hopes are jeopardized when someone surfaces old film footage from the Nixon Years showing Aggie in compromising situations.
