Synopsis

Named after the hit album that inspired it, *Supernatural Live* reintroduces seasoned guitarist Carlos Santana to the mainstream by featuring him alongside younger stars eager to collaborate with his influential musical presence. While reviving a career through association can sometimes lead to awkward pairings or excessive performances, Santana himself helps avoid such pitfalls. A pioneer of fusion long before the term was widely used, the former Mexican street musician expanded his technical and stylistic range by embracing a wide array of musical influences. As a result, he adapts seamlessly, whether soloing with Dave Matthews, exchanging phrases with saxophonist Wayne Shorter, or adding flavor to a hip-hop track with Lauryn Hill.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 11

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
