Second Childhood
Synopsis
A lonely, wealthy hypochondriac celebrates her 65th birthday in the same way she spends the other 364 days of the year—by complaining, berating her servants, taking her pills, and grumbling about everything, including the sunshine. A toy airplane flies through an open window and breaks a vase, and when its owner, Spanky, enters to retrieve it, he is told he must pay seventy-five cents for the damage. Spanky has never seen six bits, let alone have that much in his pants, so he offers his and his friend's help in cleaning up the yard in exchange. Before the children are through, they've given the old lady a new outlook on life.
