Snow Day

A record snow day in upstate New York turns into a day of chaos as siblings Natalie and Hal conspire to keep school closed while their TV meteorologist father battles the snowplows and his career on the line.

Synopsis

When an unexpected snowfall forces the closure of a small town in upstate New York, a "snow day" begins as a group of elementary school children, led by Natalie Brandston, attempt to keep the schools closed by trying to stop a mechanical snowplow driver and hijack his truck. At the same time, Natalie's older brother, Hal, uses the day to try to win the favor of Claire Bonner, the most popular girl in his high school. Meanwhile, Hal and Natalie's father, Tom, a TV meteorologist, competes with a rival meteorologist for coverage of the day's weather events.
