A scholarship student at a prestigious university battles fierce rivals and his own insecurities to secure a coveted spot on the Quiz Team, all while trying to win the heart of the captivating teammate who holds the key to both his triumph and heartbreak.
Synopsis
In 1985, during the era of Thatcherism, Brian Jackson begins his studies at the University of Bristol, a scholarship student from coastal Essex with a passion for learning and a childhood habit of watching *University Challenge*, a televised academic quiz show. While at Bristol, he auditions for the university's Challenge team and becomes captivated by Alice, a charming blonde with a notable romantic history.
