Synopsis
Christopher Reeve portrayed Superman in four films and performed numerous other roles that demonstrated his acting talent and range before a near‑fatal horse‑riding accident in 1995 left him paralyzed from the neck down. After becoming a quadriplegic, he emerged as a leader and activist seeking a cure for spinal cord injuries and advocated for disability rights and care.
