Synopsis

In 1862, daring balloon pilot Amelia Wren partners with trailblazing meteorologist James Glaisher in an ambitious effort to expand human understanding of weather and reach unprecedented altitudes. As they set records and contribute to scientific progress, their journey to the limits of the atmosphere also becomes a personal journey of self-discovery, helping the two unlikely companions find their place in the world they have long since left behind. Their flight, however, is fraught with both physical and emotional trials, as the extreme conditions turn their ascent into a desperate struggle for survival.
