Synopsis
A veteran sergeant from World War I leads a squad through various campaigns in World War II, accompanied by Pvt. Griff, the sole survivor of their previous unit; Pvt. Zab, a writer; Pvt. Vinci, a Sicilian soldier; and Pvt. Johnson. Their journey takes them through Vichy French Africa, Sicily, D-Day at Omaha Beach, Belgium, and France, culminating in a concentration camp in Czechoslovakia, where they confront the true horror of war.
