The Chase
A wrongfully convicted fugitive hijacks a wealthy heir’s daughter and speeds across California, forcing the police into a high‑octane pursuit that erupts on live television; he must outdrive the law and the media frenzy to secure his freedom.

Synopsis
Jack Hammond is sentenced to life in prison but successfully escapes. To evade the police, he takes a young woman hostage and flees in her car. The girl is the only daughter of one of the state's wealthiest men. Soon after, the car chase is broadcast live on all television channels.
