An aging Robert McNamara confronts his own legacy, striving to unravel the “fog of war” that clouded pivotal decisions from World War II to Vietnam, while exposing the perilous consequences of power and secrecy.
Synopsis
*The Fog of War* uses archival footage, cabinet conversation recordings, and an interview with the 85-year-old Robert McNamara to depict his life, from his time as a WWII whiz-kid military officer to his role as president of Ford Motor Company and his management of the Vietnam War as defense secretary under presidents Kennedy and Johnson.
