Synopsis
Joseph "Doc" Frail is a doctor burdened by a past he is attempting to escape. While in Montana, he encounters a mining camp marked by a hanging tree and saves a man named Rune from being hanged. With Rune as his companion, Frail chooses to settle in the town and assumes the role of the local doctor. He meets Elizabeth, who is in a state of shock, and the two develop a romantic relationship. However, when Elizabeth is attacked, Frail's efforts to assist her result in both of them facing serious consequences.
