Synopsis

A multi-perspective retelling of June 6, 1944, the D-Day landings, includes viewpoints from the Germans, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the Free French. German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, inspecting the defenses being constructed as part of the Reich's Atlantic Wall, tells his officers that when the Allied invasion occurs, the Germans must stop the attackers on the beaches. He remarks that "for the Allies as well as the Germans, it will be the longest day."
