Synopsis
In the Australian Outback, the Carmody family—Paddy, Ida, and their teenage son Sean—work as sheep drovers and are constantly on the move. While Ida and Sean wish to settle down and purchase a farm, Paddy prefers to continue traveling. A sheep‑shearing contest, the birth of a child, drinking, gambling, and a racehorse all influence the ultimate decision.
