Synopsis
Carrie Watts lives with her son, Ludie, and his wife, Jessie Mae, though she does so reluctantly. Ludie is preoccupied and overprotective, while Jessie Mae comes across as pretentious. No longer able to drive and not allowed to go anywhere on her own, Carrie longs for freedom beyond the walls of the house.
