The Van
“A comedy about friends, family and fish.”
Synopsis
In a working‑class district of Dublin, Bimbo Reeves is made redundant and uses his severance pay to purchase a van for a fish‑and‑chips business he runs with his friend Larry. The venture benefits initially from Ireland’s unexpected success at the 1990 FIFA World Cup, but tensions develop between the two men as Bimbo adopts a more managerial attitude toward their partnership.
