Synopsis

Frank Galvin is a struggling lawyer who has fallen on hard times, resorting to drinking and ambulance chasing to make a living. A former associate rekindles his involvement in a medical malpractice case by reminding him of his obligations and presenting it to him—all parties are willing to settle out of court. As Galvin fumbles through the initial proceedings, he comes to the realization that the case should, in fact, go to trial—to hold the guilty accountable, secure a fair settlement for his clients, and revive his reputation as a lawyer.
