Synopsis
Carter Page III is a middle-aged gay man living in Washington, D.C., who works as a "walker"—a man who accompanies other men's wives to social events in place of their husbands. One of his clients is Lynn Lockner, the wife of a U.S. senator, who is involved in an affair with a lobbyist. After the lobbyist is found murdered, Lynn becomes entangled in a conspiracy that draws Carter into an investigation reaching into the upper echelons of the federal government.
