The White Snake
Synopsis
Endres dreams of a life beyond that of a farmer’s son. He longs to read and write, to wear clothes without holes, and to sleep in a proper bed. To achieve this, he journeys to the court of the King, who is believed to be the wisest man in the land. There, Endres becomes the King’s personal servant and is tasked with bringing him a mysterious golden bowl every day after dinner. The contents of the bowl remain unknown, even to Princess Leonora. When the queen’s ring disappears, Endres finds himself under suspicion.
