Biography

Erwin Alois Robert Leder is an Austrian actor best known for his role as Chief Mechanic Johann in the 1982 film *Das Boot*, directed by Wolfgang Petersen. The film follows the mission of a World War II U-boat and its crew. Leder also gained notoriety for his leading role as a nameless serial killer in the 1983 cult film *Angst*, directed by Gerald Kargl. *Angst* was banned in several European countries due to its extreme violence.
