Synopsis
After the death of his wife, retired judge Justin Playfair retreats into a fantasy world in which he imagines himself as the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes, even adopting the character's appearance. Concerned primarily with Justin's financial affairs rather than his well-being, his brother Blevins arranges for him to be cared for by psychiatrist Dr. Mildred Watson. As Dr. Watson becomes increasingly attached to Justin, she begins to indulge in his delusions, eventually assisting him in his imagined investigations.
