Synopsis
Millie Dillmount, a bold young woman from Salina, Kansas, eager to experience life, embarks on a journey to see the world during the vibrant 1920s. Full of enthusiasm and sporting one of the new high hemlines, she arrives in New York to explore the "modern" ideas she had read about back home: "I've taken the girl out of Kansas. Now I have to take Kansas out of the girl."
